How to Run:

Unzip ks.zip, place ks.exe and ipaexg.ttf in the same folder, and run ks.exe.

Game Overview:

• A simple vertical scrolling shooting game.
• Characters in quotation marks like 「漢」 represent kanji symbols that appear on the game screen. All characters in this game are displayed in kanji. Understanding their meanings allows for a deeper appreciation of the game's themes.
• The kind of life you live depends on how you play. Each playthrough leads to a different life path.

Controls:

Keyboard:

• Press SPACE to start the game
• Arrow keys to move
• Press Z to shoot 「撃」 (attack)
• Press X to shoot 「愛」 (love)

Joypad:

• Press START to start the game
• Use the D-pad to move
• Press A to shoot 「撃」 (attack)
• Press B to shoot 「愛」 (love)

Game Rules:

• 「自」 (player) can shoot two types of projectiles forward: 「撃」 (attack) and 「愛」 (love).
• 「敵」 (enemy) can be defeated with 「撃」. They shoot 「弾」 (bullets). If 「自」 is hit by a 「弾」, they die.
•  Delivering 「愛」 to a 「友」 (friend) causes them to return 「励」 (encouragement). Receiving 「励」 increases 「自」’s energy, enhancing movement speed and rapid-fire ability.
•  Picking up 「毒」 (poison) greatly reduces movement speed and rapid-fire, but significantly increases your score.
•  Picking up 「強」 (force) restores movement speed and rapid-fire ability.
•  Picking up 「妻」 (wife), 「夫」 (husband), or 「子」 (child) causes them to follow 「自」 and shoot the same 「撃」.
• 「父」 (father) and 「母」 (mother) grant large amounts of 「愛」, boosting movement speed and rapid-fire ability.
• 「病」 (ill) slightly decreases movement speed and rapid-fire ability.
• 「徳」 (virtue) slightly increases movement speed and rapid-fire ability, and grants a small score bonus.

Try to achieve the highest possible score during your lifetime, from birth to the end.
